Special interest in neuro-development, ADHD and ASD
Dr Annemarie Olivier is a paediatrician practicing in Pretoria and Plettenberg Bay, where she is quickly establishing herself as an expert in the field of neuro-development.
She obtained her MBChB degree from the University of Pretoria in 2015, completed her Diploma in Child Health in 2018, and qualified as a specialist paediatrician in 2025.
She has just over 10 years’ experience working with children and has a particular interest in supporting children with disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Dr Olivier has attended numerous courses and congresses in neuro-development, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She also regularly gives talks on these topics.
We believe Dr Olivier is a great asset to the practice and to the families we serve.
Her Journey and Interests
Dr Olivier has a deep passion for working with children and supporting families as they navigate developmental, behavioural and learning-related concerns.
Her growing focus in neuro-development allows her to support children with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental difficulties and other related conditions with care, insight and compassion.
Outside of her medical work, Dr Olivier and her husband, Frederik, enjoy the outdoors. They love camping, hiking, trail running and spending quality time with family.
She also enjoys collecting pot plants and assists her husband with his coffee roasting business.
Dr Olivier has a creative and active background. She completed her final ballet examination, performed internationally in tap dancing, completed Grade 6 in piano, and qualified as a President’s Scout in the Voortrekkers.
She and her husband are active members of their church and community.
